I tried to go to the Saturday night Lucero show that Tim was playing at, but it was sold out, and I ran into a friend outside who said that Avail had played acoustic the night before. This was confirmed when I saw Tim Monday night in VA Beach and he said Avail did an unannounced show on Friday. At least I got to see Tim, but man....Avail acoustic.....sigh

I didn't know Tim was supposed to play until Saturday afternoon. I didn't have anyone to go with me and I live about an hour and a half from RVA so I decided I'd see Tim play solo some other time. I wanted to see Lucero but I've seen them before and decided to be lazy but holy sh!t, I can't believe I missed AVAIL playing an acoustic set. I wonder, Ed Trask on bongos? That would have been the highlight of my summer. Now I MUST go to Va Beach in june.

There are some great stuff of Lucero live but no Avail or Tim. I am frustrated. Somebody's holding out on us................

I'll try and keep up on this board again. Yes, we did the unannounced AVAIL acoustic show with Lucero a couple weekends ago here in Richmond. I played solo the next night, doing my own stuff. Hopefully that ends some of the confusion. The AVAIL set turned out to be a really great time. It is the first time that we had done something like that. Footage: Daybyday has been following us off and on for a couple months and are doing a DVD on AVAIL. It will be a long time until it's complete. But they were at the show and filmed it from at least 2 angles. I'm sure some or all of it will be included in the finished product. Holler if you guys have any questions. Tim Barry
